WHAT?
LSFF is a short film festival based in Edinburgh’s vibrant waterfront district.
We champion bold films that inspire, challenge and connect.
We provide a platform for emerging filmmakers and new talent to grow, contend and learn through workshops, Q&A’s, awards, and film screening events.
We are passionate about showcasing all genres of film, and encourage filmmakers from all backgrounds, walks of life and experience levels to share their work with us!
LSFF is aimed at emerging filmmakers with a desire to change the filmmaking landscape with their story.
WHY?
With Leith's historic docks and diverse culture, LSFF brings a bright addition to Edinburgh’s art scene and broader filmmaking community.
Our vision as a festival is to connect your films with a community of diverse audiences, industry professionals, and provide a stage for films that stand out.
We are excited to work with community-lead projects, and provide filmmakers with the opportunity to screen their films in front of live audiences.
Our newly launching creative workshops address the accessibility gap in the media industry. We provide an inclusive educational space for diverse creatives to learn about filmmaking, while simultaneously generating grassroots opportunities for the community.
